About Us
Havaianas has been spreading Brazilian spirit around the world since 1962, with its iconic rubber sole and bright, colorful and summer-infused designs. Every pair of Havaianas flip flops is still designed and made in its birthplace, Brazil.
It all started with a sandal
Havaianas’ first design was inspired by the traditional Japanese Zori: a sandal composed of a thin sole made of rice straw and fabric straps. In 1962, the designers of Alpargatas used rubber as the main raw material and adapted the Japanese sandal to the Brazilian market using the rice grain shape as the sole’s texture guaranteed comfort, durability, and versatility to the new sandal.

From the day i tried my first pair of Havaianas about 10 years ago, I’ve been a convert. I’ve tried “cheap” brands again here and there, but nothing lasts like these flip flops and feels as good on my feet – even more expensive brands. I live on St Croix in the US Virgin Islands, so flip flops are a part of my daily wardrobe year round. I love the gold because they feel a little “dressy” with a sun dress or cute shorts but can also be worn daily. Can’t say enough about these! 🙂

I am new to this brand of sandal but needed a pair I could shower with during my post part I’m hospital stay. I wanted something I could end up using all summer too. These came and were exactly what I was looking for. I love the gold color and sparkle on the thong part. They are very thick and heavier material compared to say an Old Navy flip flops. The only part I didn’t expect was the sizing runs a bit small. I typically wear a size 5 but most women’s shoes don’t start till a 6. I ordered the 6 expecting it to be a tad big. It fits perfect. So i would personally order a size up.

The fit was a little small per the size guideline but I just ordered the next size up. These are excellent flip flops. I first found them at Costco but never found them again so I ordered several different pairs off Amazon and have been happy ever since. I have Neuropathy and wear flip flops for as long as possible during the year. I do admit that after constant wear, daily for 15 hours a day every day (the same pair) for 10 months, they do wear flat and I throw them away and get another pair. I would not hesitate to buy these and I would not waste money on cheap flip flops!

Genuine Havaianas you love & trust. I had my old ones for close to a decade & probably would have worn them a decade more, had I not lost one of them.This flip flop runs SMALL. I’ve attached photos of my previous Havaianas same model, both labeled USA 7/8, the new ones are much smaller & I’m exchanging for the size up. (The old one is marked USA 7/8 and Eur 39-40, while the new one is marked USA 7/8 and Eur 37-38.) (Sorry the Amazon app rotated my pics)

I was introduced to Havaianas while living abroad and have made them my go-to flip flop just because they are so sturdy and comfortable. I have had pairs that have lasted for years! I really like this particular model because of the wider straps and the slightly thicker footbed (not a fan of the slims). The wine color is absolutely gorgeous! However, it is worth noting that I am usually a 8-8.5 in shoes, and I wound up ordering the 9-10/39-40 flip flop (just because the 7-8 size offers a fit that is a little too close for comfort) and they fit perfectly. Definitely recommend!

I bought two pairs – one for outdoors and one for in the house because the tile floors are so hard. They are NOT cheap, light, wimpy flip-flops – they are heavier than I expected and don’t flatten out at all. I weigh about 160 and they have stayed very cushiony and comfy. I’m totally happy with these!

This is sooooooo comfortable. It does not slip off my feet and it has what feels like a little spring to it due to the fit and softness. It is NOT STIFF and uncomfortable, but moves with the feet. You will love this brand. I have gotten three colors off Amazon and been wearing them when I go out for the past six months or so. Buy them!

Comfort and easy wear. I actually enjoy the thickness of this pair. So much so I bought another color. I love and hate havaianas as a few I bought broke down fast or where not true to size or stretch ed out too fast. These pairs are so comfy that I almost have to consciously avoid wearing them all the time as I should wear my attractive sandals Atleast a little. Lol.

As the last cheapie fell off my feet after 6 months I decided to go with the real thing for once.So far I can tell the difference, even though the cheap was more comfortable, this will clearly outlast five of those. The material of the sole is actually rubber, firm, but still gives a bit of spring to the steps, the bands over the feet are perfectly in place, does not rub wrong anywhere, including between the toes. Did not care about the colour much, but it is actually nice, on the pastel side.I was not a fan of the structured pattern of the sole, as it was quite annoying to the skin at first, but it is personal preference I guess, I prefer flat smooth soles, while others like to walk on spikes. After wearing it at home for weeks, I actually got used to it, and does not bother me at all.Overall very nice, will buy again when this will give up, I reckon that will be in a few years, as quality is surprisingly good.
