This worked as I remembered. I had one years ago but bought this one as a stocking stuffer for my niece for Christmas. There are many helpful videos on YouTube for different looks, also.

Once you find the right sized loop for your hair it works so easy. Pull pony tail or braid thru the loop next to the scalp and insert the pointed end back INTO the pony tail. Takes a bit of practice but worth it. I’ve gotten compliments on how my hair is ‘styled’. Quick fix to a so-so pony tail look. My hair is sleek and long. Easy way to up-do a ‘do!’

I have long medium thick hair and trying to style it without this tool is much harder. I was using my fingers but getting way too many tangles. This is my first time using the ponytail maker, which is the Topsy Tail tool, and it’s much easier! It takes some practice and watching the Topsy Tail YouTube videos is a must, but it really works! My favorite YouTube link is by Laineymariebeauty (5 ponytails….)because you can see how she inserts the tool into the ponytail, then twists the tool a little before pulling it through the hair. The photo is my first attempt so I’m still getting the hang of it, but if I can do it, anybody can!

I couldn’t find these anywhere else on the market, so I bought them here. They helped create the hairstyle I wanted for Halloween, and I find them pleasant for making unique hair styling patterns. Sometimes it hurt when I had to pull my hair through, but I don’t think that’s the topsy tail’s fault. I’m surprised when I did pull that it didn’t snap. It’s pretty durable.

This particular item came with four hair tools, but I bought it for the smaller one. My hair is on the thin side and it works perfectly for the hairstyles I wanted to try. So far it has worked perfectly, and it’s revamped my hair game.

These work very well and are easy to use. For what they are, they are overpriced, in my opinion and I may look at the dollar store if I want to buy another set. (Maybe it’s just supply and demand?) But, try them if you don’t mind the price! I watched a video on Youtube and knew that I could do that! I use these now just by feel and don’t need a mirror.
